Pick the object, we hid the camera
Every camera is a working version of the thing it looks like. The clock tells time. The charger charges. The porch light lights the porch.
Everyday Tech

A working LED alarm clock with a 2K camera behind the display. Covers a bedroom doorway, hallway, or living room shelf.
Vantage Ceiling Camera
A ceiling-mounted unit styled like a standard detector housing, with a 2K wide-angle camera looking down over the whole room.
Volt USB Charger Camera
A working dual-port USB wall charger with a 1080p camera. Plug it in anywhere there is an outlet and a sight line.
Gallery Photo Frame Camera
A real photo frame holding your photo, with a 1080p camera in the matting. 30-day standby battery.
How it works
Three steps to a watched home
No installer, no drilling into siding, no monitoring contract. If you can plug in a lamp, you can set up a PlainSight camera.
Pick the object
Choose a camera built into something your home already has: a clock, a charger, a frame, a porch light. Nothing new to explain, nothing that changes the room.
Set it up in minutes
Plug it in or charge it, connect it to your 2.4GHz WiFi with the PlainSight app, and place it with a clear view of the space you care about.
Watch from anywhere
Motion alerts go to your phone. Footage saves to a microSD card you own. Check in live from work, the road, or the other side of the world.
Why discreet
Security that doesn't announce itself
A visible camera changes how a room feels and tells a burglar exactly what to unplug. A camera that looks like your stuff just does its job.
While you travel
Know the house is quiet, the doors stayed shut, and the plants got watered. Check in from anywhere without a monitoring contract.
Caregivers and sitters, with disclosure
A camera in the living room keeps everyone honest and protects the caregiver too. We recommend telling anyone who works in your home. It is the law in some states and good practice in all of them.
Pets home alone
See who is actually on the couch. Outlet-height and shelf cameras catch the parts of the room pet cams on tripods miss.
Porches and packages
A porch light or birdhouse watches deliveries without a lens staring at the street. Burglars case houses for visible cameras. These do not announce themselves.
Responsible use
Built for protecting your home. Not for spying on people.
Every camera we sell records video only, because audio recording laws are stricter in most states. We publish plain-English guidance on where cameras belong, where they never do, and when you should tell people they are on camera. If a purchase reads like it is meant for anything else, we cancel it.
Questions
Answers before you ask
Are these cameras legal?+
Video-only recording inside your own home is legal in all 50 states. Areas where people expect privacy, like bathrooms, are off-limits everywhere. Our responsible use page covers the details in plain English.
Why is there no audio on any camera?+
Audio recording falls under stricter federal and state wiretap laws, and about a dozen states require every person in a conversation to consent. Video-only keeps you clearly inside the law in every state. It is a feature, not a limitation.
Do I need a subscription?+
No. Footage saves to a microSD card in the camera, and the PlainSight app is free. There is no monthly fee and no cloud contract.
